Ever since I can remember I’ve been interested in old things. Ephemera from eras past; postcards, photographs, packaging, trinkets, etc., and up until a few years ago I though I was relatively alone in this, but have since realized that there is a large group of people that share this interest. Some would call this being a pack rat, and they may be right, but I see this collecting as a kind of rescue mission, in which I feel a strong need to salvage these things that are beautiful to me and (unfortunately) to no one else, from a certain death.
I’ve decided to start this blog to serve as a sort of digital archive of the collection of 20th century vernacular photography that I have amassed over the past few years. It may also house things like design/packaging/logo pieces, as well as 8mm and 16mm moving film eventually. I hope you enjoy.
